Project Type: Addition and Remodel, built in 2018

Abutting a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound, this Normandy Park residence contains an eclectic mishmash of styles derived from the many additions and remodels performed during its lifespan. A full remodel offered an opportunity to harmonize this diversity and completely modernize the exterior and interior features. A minimal color palette is balanced by the existing material textures integrating the various shapes and forms of the house.

The backyard of the house is a private oasis, with a covered patio that features cliffside decks, a wood-burning pizza oven, and entertainment area. The existing swimming pool was converted into a serene pond teeming with native aquatic plants and surrounded by a variety of trees that provide shade and privacy.
