HECKMAN ARCHITECTS
Project Type: Addition and Remodel, built in 2011
This Mercer Island residence is located on a flag lot with access to Lake Washington. The existing house underwent a massive remodel, adding a 2,400 square-foot basement and a new northwest wing. A major focus of the remodel was to develop and enhance the outdoor experience, which features a swimming pool, spa and covered outdoor living space with large fireplace and radiant heaters. The color palate is minimal with contrasting textures and patterns for a uniform feel while sparking interest.
Architect of record: Brad Sturman of Sturman Architects in Bellevue where Aaron Heckman served as senior designer for this project prior to forming HECKMAN Architects in February 2016.
